If not, what could a character trait be for a person who says things for how they are?

  1. Non-biased is actually more refined since it means open to many ideas with a personal agenda. No one is non-biased on every issue, just ones they don't have personal/political or other interests.

    Blunt would be the better adjective since it describes someone who is  far less tactful, usually believes in only their own ideas or a very narrow view, never heard of Emily Post and really doesn't care.
