  1. it is required by Irish law that every employer must give a payslip to their employees.

  2. If you work as a freelancer it means you're self employed offering a service and you're not supposed to get a payslip. For tax purposes, to be in order, you should register with the Revenue, I believe this form is the one you should fill out: http://www.revenue.ie/forms/formtr1.pdf

But call the Revenue if you have any doubts.

  3. You need to invoice the company and keep all invoices - and receipts - for the revenue service.

  4. no its illegal

by law, everyone working in the Rep. of Ireland is entitled to a detailed pay slip, weather ur Irish or not, showing how many hours worked, rate of pay, deductions (if any) etc.

im guessing ur are being paid cash in hand i.e. without the tax man knowing. tell ur boss that you want a payslip.

if that doesnt work u should go and talk to citizens information - they will know a lot more than any one on Y!A

    hope i helped

  5. hi you

just like everywhere else in the world payslips are issue here in Ireland and the company your freelancing for have to keep a record of what they pay you for there own tax record there is something very funny about your whole case here the company your working for are meant to make sure that you have a PPS number or your a registered as been self employed and have a employed number which been a freelancer you should have also or more then PPS number if your self employed as the PPS number is for people that are working for a company and who are not freelancers you put it  also the company is meant to give some form of slip for the tax and how much you have earned ask again for one and get yourself sorted with a number soon

  6. they do give payslips, maybe they dont give u one because you dont have a pps number?

    (",)

  7. Unless you ask for some sort of work order or purchase order, you won't get one for every job. I always insist on one, even if it's just an e-mail stating the rate and deadline.

If you don't have a PPS number, and you're working in Ireland for less than 6 months, you should find out from the Revenue Commissioners what's required. You should be getting benefits also, it's highly like that you are 'off the books', and will not be eligible for social welfare benefits as your employer is not paying your benefits.
