Is now a good time to get into real estate?

I'm laid off right now. I have a lot of free time on my hands while I'm looking for a new job. Was considering getting my real estate license since I have the time to do it now and thought I could do it pt when I find a job. Is now a good time to get into real estate? Also, have you done it pt, is it even worth it?

its a pretty  bad thing to do right now if u need a steady income. but if you have your financial situations down pack then go right a head. real estate is not cut out for slackers. you need to work off (but the payoff is great) if your a hard worker then you can make real estate work no matter what the market is.

Wait another year or two before you start investing in real estate or selling it. The market is still declining

It is a good time to get into real estate.

The market is soft but think about it, if you get your licence when it is strong and easy will you really learn how to sell?

If you go now you may have to work harder but you'll really learn the business.

Nope.  It couldn't be a worse time.  However, if you have time on your hands, go ahead and take the course and the test.  That way you'll be ready when the market turns.
