Is now a good time to invest in Energy funds such as an index or mutual fund?

Mutual funds are long-term investments (5 or more years).  If you're investing for the long term, ANY time is a good time to start.

Energy funds are high right now, but they may continue to rise.  Never put more than 10% of your portfolio in any one sector (including energy).

Dollar-cost averaging (investing a fixed amount every month) is a great way to invest - you'll be amazed at how quickly your money grows that way.

To me, all the time are good to invest in these if you put a fixed amount every month for a considerable length of time (2-3 years). If one loves to buy shirts at a discount, why not mutual funds?
