  1. No. Buyers are having difficulty getting a mortgage, they have to have a bigger deposit too. Unless there is a pressing reason for selling a property it would be much better to sit tight and wait until the market and buyer confidence improves.

  2. No, the market's too volatile. Stay put and watch the next six months.

  3. yes if you want to cash in before the crash, good luck finding anyone to buy though, hard to get a mortgage right now!

  4. If you have more than 1 property - yes!

  5. It depends. If you're looking to upgrade to a better property immediately, then probably not. However, quite popular at the moment is selling your property and then renting for a while. This is particularly popular amongst those who have a lot of equity in their home as income/interest from the invested equity after selling your home, will offset a large chunk of the rent. Then, as is generally predicted the market falls, you will be able to buy more for your money, especially as you will be able to make an offer based on the fact that you do not need to sell your property first. A mortgage shouldn't be a problem as your deposit will be significant, with the equity from your original sale.

  6. No.

Estate agents will tell you straight to not bother selling nor buying at this stage= too much risk involved coz over the years pll have become obsessed with earning loads of property than LIVING in a home in the UK.

  7. not if u dont have to. we are having to sell my mums property as shes gone into a home and the money is needed to fund it, we have not only had to reduce the price to get a sale but they have now asked for a further amount off the price due to the fall in the market in recent weeks whilst we were tempted not to agree the a gent advised lots of people are pulling out andproperties not selling and to be honest having to go back to the beginning and start again would have cost us more than the buyers were asking to cut off the price

  8. If you must.

  9. If you can find someone able to get a mortgage !!!!

  10. Too many people in the UK are obsessed with making money from property, doesn't anyone buy a house to live in any more, without pondering it's worth?

Now is NOT a good time to sell, the market is pretty stagnant, mortgages have become hard to get with this credit crunch that's going on, plus it's all relative, if your house falls in value then so will all the others, so it's swings and roundabouts.  More people than ever are taking further advances out on their existing property at the mo than borrowing to move, expect for downsizing plus the cost of a HIPS pack, which is overpriced and doesn't do what it was pro-ported to do IE help to move the selling on, searches still have to be done. I'd stay put Hun until someone realises that HIPS packs ain't worth the paper they're written on and  just another cost to the Vendor and the housing market picks up.

Hope this helps Hun and have a good day ;-)
