Question:

Is now a good time to sell uncirculated coin sets?

I have complete uncirculated US coin sets from about 1974 to 1990. I found a few of them to potentially have significant value simply due to where/when they were minted, but generally they are nothing of major worth. With the current economy in the US, is it a good to time to ditch them for cash or would it be better to sell when the economy is "booming" in a few few years...?

  1. The idea of buying uncirculate coins is similar or the same as buying stock in the market place.  Keep them as long as possible.  I would never sell uncirculated coins until one is older.

I am just looking over some uncirculated Silver Dollars and some of them are now worth from one to three thousand dollars.  Of course you see these were bought back in 1930s, '40s.
