  1. The use of nuclear power is an important step in weening the world off of hydrocarbon fuels. The problem with it is the waste. Nobody wants nuclear dumps in thier neighbourhoods as there are too many risks involved. Dumping the waste into the ocean is also not an ocean due to the environmental risks.

To my mind the only option would be to launch the waste into outer space. There are 3 possible destinations that would be good to send the waste. 1 would be to establish a nuke dump on the moon. Cosidering that one day we may have colonies on the moon then maybe this isn't an option. the other option would be to launch the waste in to the depths of space. This is't an option either as there is a remote (and i mean very remote) possibility of contaminating other planets. And the third option would be to incinerate the waste in the sun. With the sheer gravity of the sun and our own magnetosphere i believe this eould be the safest way to dispose of nuclear waste.

  2. In limited quantities, yes.

Large bursts of it over major cities is generally a bad thing.

  3. No nuclear energy is not good for our future because it produces carbon dioxide and other kinds of waste. Tidal energy is just as efficent as nuclear energy.

  4. For the immediate case, yes, since it's the one source that can generate a lot of power with less green house gases. But it should be combine with solar, wind and hydro, so therefore we don't completely depend on just one source of electricity.

  5. NO.

  6. it doesnt mean that it is good for the future..

    disadvantages are:

it emits lots of radiations and waste which cannot be disposed easily...

we are millions of aquatic species by disposing them into the deep sea...

once the radiations were out by carelessness: we will all be in heaven...

    but advantage is:

no other fuel source will produce as much energy as it does...

then it is the only way to power our world for large number of years with minimum amount of fuel...

our future generations power is only nuclear energy.

  7. only if you don't mind a little potential radiation poisoning

  8. It's a must for our future.

No other source can generate as much power without producing ANY green house gases.
