Is nvidia 8400 suitable for me?

i have a pentium dual core 3ghz processor intel d945 mother board, 2 gb ram, for this configuration will nvidia 8400 suitable? or else is there anything better in that price range ?

The 8400 series is a decent card, but for a few dollars more you can get the 8500 series that will give you almost twice the performance of the 8400.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are just surfing the web email, watching some videos, and things like that it will be fine. If you are planning on playing games I would go at least 8600 or 9600, and if you are planning on playing the NEWEST games I would recommend an 8800, 9800 or GTX280.

The 8400 is a lower end card made for things like Home theater PC's. It is cool and quiet but at a sacrifice for the performance. Its all up to you I suppose. If you want to game I would definitely spend more but the 8400 is a great card for your average user.

Good choice on the Nvidia. I am a die hard Nvidia fan!!

well yes nvidia 8400 is a good card for pc configurations like yours , but it also depends what are u more  into , are u into gameing then u would need more better and extreme cards like  8800, 9800 or GTX280, or higher . all the newer games that are out will work on these card . AND if ur are just into watchin videos/movies , surfing the net, a bit of games (not the latest) buissnes purpose etc then the nvidia 8400 is good one for u .and its even the best price range for u.. good luck.!! :)

nvidia is a good choice...and i think for your computer it will work just fine:-< don't worry about it its a good one..i have nvidia gforce 6600... 1gb ram 3.2 ghz    pentium 4... and its good for me;) not that i play that much... ok.. only on summer holiday but in school time... i don't even have time to stay on the PC:O..kk thats all;;)
