Is oil created from magma?
Tags:
Some very strange answers saying no, they must work for the oil industry. Any lateral thinking being can easly see oil is found at depths and places where forest have never been, (eg. the ocean deeps) 35k ft under, where as evidance of organic matter seems to stop at 18k ft.
Even all the estamated organic matter of the life of the Earth does not calulate to how much oil and coal has allready been pumped and mined.
The final nail in the coffin for the fossil fuel theory is the production of methane in the earths mantle. The organic traces found in oil is from bacteria just like the first answer said, it is still a big problem in jet fuel. And wells do indeed refill themselfs over time, somtimes quite quickly.
