  1. Yeah, it's ok. Just don't open your eyes under water. No big deal, I do it all the time.

  2. yea juss dont open!

  3. Yes, it is okay to wear contacts while swimming i have to...my doctor told me to make sure after though that i refresh them by using contact solution in my eye or taking them out and soking them for a little while...

  4. I keep my eyes shut but then my eyes tend to dry out afterwards.  Use goggles, that way you can swim normally with your eyes open and you know your contacts will be protected.

  5. No, it is never safe to go swimming while wearing contacts- especially soft contacts, which are tiny little sponges of chemicals and bacteria.

Essentially, even if you never get a splash of water in your eye by some odd miracle, your contact will 'sponge up' chemical fumes and those will be a risk to your eyes for the life of the contact.

If you do get your contacts wet, forget about it- not only can your contacts retain a whole lot of harmful chemicals on your fragile eyes, they can also sponge up all sorts of bacteria and give you an infection.

Instead, consider purchasing a pair of prescription swim goggles, or if your vision isn't too bad, just go without.

  6. I do.  You can keep  your eye open...  Actually the contacs protect your; eyes you won't get the sting of chlorine.
