Question:

Is okra a monoecious plants?

i have just one okra plant which producing flowers,but those flowers no making fruits,can somebody explain me what happend?

  1. I know with pumpkins, you can look inside the flower and you can see if the inside pokes inny or outy. The flowers are female and male. You take a Q-Tip of small brush and transfer the pollen from the male flowers to the female flowers. Little bugs usually do this though. I have no idea what monoecious is, but I can sort of gather from the question what it means.


  2. Sounds like the flowers aren't being pollinated, or the unseasonable  heat in many areas may have killed the pollen during early development.

    Flowers with both stamens and pistil are perfect.
