Is olympic boxing a disgrace?

Once again olympic boxing has come to shame with the buying of olympic gold for some country. Shame on judges Francisco Alloza, of Spain, Mohamad Zhrh, of Syria, Jiabo Wang, of China, Michael Moraka, of Botswana, and Evgeny Sudakov, of Russia. Because of judges like these olympic boxing is just a joke, a way for countries to buy favors for glory. It is time for getting the head gears off and let the athletes demonstrate what they are made of and not letting a judge buy olympic GOLD.

I am no boxer and could never do it but the Olympic boxing sucks. I couldn't even continue watching it. They definitely need to change something around.

Amateur boxing is a skill. Professional boxing reduces you to trying to beat the tar  out of your opponent before he does it to you.

I don't have the background knowledge to say whether or not the Olympic judging is rigged.

to answer your question: a resounding YES!

It started with mediocre fighters getting special privileges such as, not being warned for "holding" or "running around the ring" instead of fighting. Then progressed to fighters not getting points for body blows when their opponent is, or receiving a point when they are actually hit in the face and the opponent not getting scored. I have even seen some fighters landing points without landing blows! How do 3 out of 5 judges make the exact same mistake?

After watching 6 hours of boxing a day for the last two weeks, I have considered that Russia, Australia, and the USA have been undermined so that Korea, China, and Cuba could proceed to the medal rounds.

I have seen allot of disappointed fighters in what could be called poorly judged matches. Even the announcers would agree that Olympic Boxing judging has more that an un-fair share of inconsistencies.

It would appears that the Judges have determined who they want to win before the fight even started, but that is just my opinion. And here is a news development that just came out regarding Olympic Boxing Corruption:

The judging system is garbage and simply impossible to be accurate

Boxing, and any other judged sport, gymnastics, diving, synchronized everything should be out of the olympics

stick to direct competition, winner and a loser with no doubts
