  1. i never knew omaha was violent unless you include cows with omaha steaks but i know gary, in used to be the murder capital of the u.s. and is still pretty close

  2. I'm Omahan too  ... and no it's not ... we're actually becoming like the rest of the big cities w/the violence. Google this "Most violent cities in the US"

  3. Wow! Your definition of a violent city is pretty skewed. Omaha made the 5th best place to live in the US- partly because of the low crime rate. The weather is the main thing that keeps us from ranking higher.

  4. Omaha is not the most violent city in the US, not even close.

There have been some stories of violence in the news lately, concerning Omaha, but it is still a very safe city.

It is hard to compare Omaha to larger cities in the United States, Omaha is not even in the top 10 or 20 in regards to violence.

  5. I think that honor has been most recently bestowed upon Detroit.  Some honorable mentions might be Camden, New Jersey, and Newark, New Jersey.

  6. I beleive that not only is Washington D.C. our capital it is also  is the capital of murder and crime in our great country.
