  1. Yes I believe it is as long as it is carried out as part of a current job.  I recently completed an MScIT On line with Liverpool University.  It took me 3 years due to work commitments but the final dissertation and project meant so much more to me as it was a live project at work.  I believe future employers will bear the last point Iain mind during the selection process for job interviews.

  2. As on date, to generalise quality of on line educational institutions won't be fair. The reputation of such institution and the quality of education it extends will be of significance to secure an entry for a job. However, post job continuing education for up-gradation of your levels of knowledge and skills from an on line institution may be somewhat covered by your existing performance and such education may be taken at par with that of a regular institution for incentives and promotions.

Key words are your research for a good quality institution and securing knowledge therefrom and your performance at reviews/work.

  3. Absolutely....however it is in dispute....though think about this...isn't everything in the world in dispute? These are the toddler days of the internet. I know three people who teach on line and they are very happy with it all ~

    Thanks

  4. A lot of companies send you work by the post or on line- whichever you prefer.

You do the work and then send it back. Everything is done from home. When it's time for the exam, you just go into a centre and do the test as you normally would. That's usually the case for GCSES or A Levels.

  5. no it is not, it is just a waste of time because you can use their certificate to get a job

  6. That very much depends on the provider and the course.

You should not sign up to just anything without investigating it beforehand, checking the details and talking to the people (and if at all possible also to people who have done it before you).

One online education service that is recognised everywhere and in fact quite highly regarded is the Open University (OU) in Britain.

  7. yes.No matter if u hv done ur course online or regular but imp is how good & confident u r in that subject coz now a days people see more of practical knowledge, confidence & smartness not theoritical knowledge.Yes good institutes matter but up to 20/30%.But they will see in u is ur confidence & attitute to learn & sincerety.

  8. I have been told by my employer that ANY degree - from an established college or on line is valued.  It is not the degree itself as much as it is the time and committment you put into getting that degree.  Some on line colleges are better than others, so make sure you do your research!  Sorry for the pun.  :)
