  1. Yes, but I have noticed a lot of players bumping the ball up for the set.  I think it is because they don't have the setting skill that they need!

  2. First off in beach volleyball you are allowed to have a lift when setting. Secound off you can only set the ball over the net if you are square to the net which means your body is facing that way. you can also back set it over. You can't try and do some tricky set and not even face where you're going to set it.

  3. yep

  4. If it is an intentional play, then yes.  If you are trying to set your partner, but it goes over the net, it is unintentional, and is usually called illegal.

It really depends on the league or tournament you are playing on/in.  Rules vary.

  5. Yes, as long as it is not a lift/carry or a double AND if your shoulders are square to where you are setting the ball.

Meaning... you cannot set the ball over sideways.  This is legal in indoors as long as it is not a carry or double.

  6. yeah. as long as its not a carry (too slow) there is no problem.

  7. of course  you are as long as it is not a carry(keeping the ball in your hands for too long), a lift(like pushing up on it), or a double(if you double you can tell because the ball will spin alot)
