Hi Friends,

I am going to india later this year.Going from bwi is a must...i honestly have no choice...IAD is too far from where I live.So that leaves me with few choices of airlines. If i go by British airways i have a connection time of 1 hr before i board the next flight which is from the same terminal (terminal 5).Do you know if this is enough time considering the fact that if I have to go through security?...no other flight goes to India with one stop over and so there is little choice. Is there any way I can send a message to the airline to wait for me (I know this might sound absurd and funny but i am desperate)...I would highly appreciate your advise and suggestion. Thanks a lot in advance!!

  1. 1 hour at Heathrow is not enough time to switch terminals! You will be pushing your luck big time! And airplanes don't usually wait for people! You need to consider the other people who are in that plane waiting to take off, no one should be left back because of your choice in not scheduling your flight times properly! 3 hours layover is a preferred time at Heathrow!

  2. With Terminal 5's history so far, you'll be pushing your luck.

  3. I highly doubt if the airline will wait for you. It's unbelievable how much each minute in delay cost an airline. I doubt if you will make your connection in 1 hour if you have to go through security especially with a baby. You need to make sure your ticket can be used the next day and have enough money for lodging for that night.
