The way I see it is if you can afford to close your office for a month and a half for your honeymoon why not because you might as well take time to enjoy your honeymoon. Just move the appointments up a little. People usually understand.

With all of the marriages that turn to divorce in this country whats wrong with making a small effort to have a lasting marriage?

A lot of people just rush to Vegas for a week but to me that doesn't really seem special. My idea of a good honeymoon is a European tour for six weeks. Perhaps spend 3 weeks in England and Scotland, then take the tunnel to France and travel on the Orient Express in France through Austria on to Rome and then back to France again taking the tunnel back to England prior to the flight back to the US.

I think that you stay for a night each somewhere in France and Switzerland during the two week train ride. You could spend a whole week in Italy prior to the trip back to England. Sounds good?

  1. Vegas is close, I suppose thats why. And if you live there and don't think its special, why live there. Sand everywhere, Hot as heck every summer, homeless that have lost their money, gangs everywhere, Vegas, N.Vegas, Henderson you name it. Not to mention water shortages and homes falling into sink holes and the humongous population growth. Don't even get started on the traffic jams.

  2. That's not long, don't worry... I think it's perfect and I'm sure your wife will definitely appreciate it.

  3. With that schedule, you'd be exhausted the second half of the trip.  A month is a lot (I've done it several times) and it helps to stay in just a few countries, such as England/Scotland or France/Switzerland.  The Orient Express is extremely expensive and the regular train is fine if you don't travel all over.  You'd forget where you were and what you saw.  Save the rest for another trip.  And wait for the dollar to strengthen against the euro!

  4. i think that is the best gift you can give to your future wife....

    just go for it.....

    perfect!!!

  5. It sounds wonderful!  My only concern is that so much "together time" can be alot on a couple.  I love my hubby dearly, but a month and a half with NO alone time is alot for anyone.  Good Luck and Congrats!
