  1. Haha. Geez.

The SATs are more of a common-sense, general knowledge kind of thing.  I couldn't imagine what you could do to study for or prepare for it apart from "being less dumb".

Maybe you get bored halfway through the test and start slacking?  I dunno.  Try taking some caffeine pills next time before you take the exam.

  2. I suggest setting a more realistic goal, very few people that get 2200's one year get 2400 the next.  Maybe 1600-1800 is a better goal, which will still get you into a pretty good college.

My suggestion is to buy a ton of SAT prep books, and do the practice tests, and actually go over the problems that you got wrong, especially for math.  There are some books that also provide a service that gives you a chance to type up an essay you tried writing, and they'll grade it for you.  For math, if you don't know Algebra II yet (and the maths under it, geometry, algebra 1, pre-algebra) buy the book online on amazon (I got an Alg II book in almost-new condition for like $7) and look through it, and try to finish it in a year.  For English, buy read tons of books to boost your vocab, and maybe try those flashcards they sell specifically for the SATs.

Also, sign up for the College Board SAT question of the day, which sends an SAT level question to your email every day, they're pretty good.

    Good luck!

  3. That would be quite hard to do unless you devoted all your time to just studying and sleeping...
