Is ones estate taxed on the sale of non-primary property at ones death?

I would like to leave property to a family member at my death. This property in not my primary residence, will my estate be taxed on this property and if so, how will it be taxed?

  1. The value of your whole estate (all property, shares, cash etc) will be calculated at the time of your death and Inheritance Tax will be payable on anything over the tax free amount applicable at that time.
