Question:

Is only being attracted to good looking people being shallow?

Some people say the corny cliches about "it's inside what counts" but it's seems to me that it is human nature to be attracted to attractive people. I am naturally attracted to hot girls, and naturally don't want to make out with ugly girls. Why is this being shallow if I can't help being attracted to attractive girls?

  1. We are all genetic groupies.  Attracted to the most beautiful people even if it isn't in our best interest to be. /

  2. no, its not. physical attraction is an important part of a relationship. It should NOT be the only thing or even the biggest thing you base a relationship on, but it has to exist for a relationship to exist. Therefore, its not shallow - its natural.

  3. people have different taste i know if thats what is your gut feeling to like someone attractive its not shallow they just label you

  4. no, being shallow is when you only care about what other people see. so if you like a girl, but someone you look up to or you think is "cooler" than you thinks shes ugly, then you don't like her anymore.

  5. no its not being shallow since everyone is attracted to different things about people.

  6. No, considering what's attractive differs from person to person.

  7. Shallow attractive people attract other shallow attractive people.

It is natures way of preventing them contaminating the gene pool overly.

  8. " I know some people that would call me shallow. " . . .

Well i'm not one of them, i would call you honest

and very humble, and very aware of the forces of

    natural selection at work . . .

Humans have grown very arrogant over time,

as though for some strange reason, every

body seem's p***ed at them selves cause

they haven't found a sucessful way of proving

nature to be wrong. despite the best of cliches.

Saying inner beauty is more important is like

saying we're all created equal according to the

constitution, and we all know what a crock of s**t

    that is . . .

A woman is most beautiful when she's pregnant,

as any single mom can attest for that one . . .

    Simply put we're becoming a society that's

unable to cope with things nature dishes

out to us for our very survival, if they don't

meet a certain critieria to cappitulate to our

    egos . . .

For the first time in the history of our pathetic

species,  we're actually politicing our very right

to our own natural exzistance . . .

Litterarly putting ourselves on the proverbial

carpet of evolutionary condemnation, all in

the name of something we not only can't

control but have no right to control . . .

You are not shallow,  because what your

doing was preordained billons of years ago,

you are merely respecting that capacity

in your self by relying on it instead of like

some others, who are arrogantly denying it,

now there's shallowness, if ever there was.

  9. I think monmichka said it BEST, I certainly can't top that.

  10. Can't please everyone, you got to please yourself! Only you know what you want!

  11. no youre not shallow. remember we are in a way animals and the prettiest one gets the mate! but also remember we are an advanced intelligent species, so thats why you have beautiful people dating ugly people because really it is the inside that counts. i know people who are gorgeous but because of their attitude they are no longer attractive to me [seriously]. but no one wants anyone that is too ugly for their taste....because they may love them for the inside but will be repulsed by the outside all the time lmao.

edit* i agree beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

  12. make sure they have great genes, Plastic surgery is the greatest illusion.

  13. Here is another cliche:  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  What you may think is hot may not be to me.  And what you think is ugly may just float someone else's boat.  To each his own.
