Question:

Is only this bleach okay to use?

I'm planning on dying the underneath layer of my bangs a turquoise colour, but I have to bleach it first. My hair is pretty dark, almost black. Will I need to buy a bunch of stupid toners or whatever, or can I just use this?

I've seen someone use just that by the way that has fairly dark hair, their hair looked good afterwards.

  1. If you want the turquoise to be a nice, bright color, you have to start with a nice, white base. Using a bleach like the one you listed on black hair MAY bring you to a nice blonde, but more than likely will make you brassy and orange. If you turn brassy and orange, yes, tone it. If you don't tone it, the color you put over it will be un-even and look awful. Just be careful not to fry your hair off by trying to get it to a nice blonde. REMEMBER: You DO NOT have to be bleach blonde to do this!!!!! DO NOT! You only need to lighten it to the brightness of the color you're putting over it. Good luck!

  2. It does work. Be careful not to overprocess because you don't want bangs that look like straw.

That kit will work, but a professional is always best. If you are trying to save money, this kit will work.

I suggest having someone responsible with you to help so you don't overprocess.

  3. Yeah you won't need a toner for that because the turquoise just needs to show not the blond.
