Seems like more people want to hang on to preconceived notions and live in the past. Honest and open questions are meet with anger rather than understanding. From both sides of the spectrum

  1. There are people on both sides of the equation that want to live in the past.  They will not come into the present no matter what.  I think communication is key to understanding any issue.  Sadly, not everyone does.

  2. via the back door of society, yes.

  3. The key to understanding is communication. So, yes, I think open dialog is essential in easing racial tension. But that communication should not only be open and honest but constructive and rational. It seems whenever some form of communication is initiated somehow it turns into the blame game. We have to start somewhere in order to heal this problem and grow as a nation. I suggest both sides begin with forgiveness.
