Is opening a modern high-tech cafe/bar for people under the age of 18 to "hang out" at a good idea?

I want to open a trendy modern cafe/bar for young adults under the age of 18. I believe there are not enough places for young people to "hang out" in the UK.

I really think opening a modern high-tech cafe/bar where they can come to in their spare time is a good idea and will help get kids off the street.

I am keen to know what people think of this idea espically those under the age of 18.

What would you want the cafe/bar to provide?

When would you want it to be open?

Would you have interest in seeing things such as new local bands performing and contests such as battle of the bands?

Any ideas i'd love to know!!!

Smoothies with umbrellas and stir sticks.  Fancy coffees that are more sugar and milk than coffee.  Soft Drinks.  Teenage appetizers like mini cheeseburgers, mini pizzas, nachos, candy trays, birthday cakes for special celebrations.  Karaoke night, band night, talent contest nights, game nights, video nights with popcorn, etc.

Teens don't usually have much money, so you'll have to make the experience worth the expense with decorations and trendy design.  Also, you'll need on site security.  Teens get into trouble.  That's why they're not allowed to drink!

Rather than restricting the idea to a cafe/bar..why not incorporate other ideas into the project.

You could have an art space a music space and a general creative space..it's really popular and has featured in our local paper many times. It's possible that you could get funding or sponsorship from local businesses.

Just an idea..hope it has given you some added inspiration :)

It sounds wonderful Then girls do not have to deal with old f**t men hitting on them. I think it would be a  great.
