Is oracle the sheep-shearer intelligent?

for those who dont know what im talking about oracle is a robot that was developed in 1979. and basically what the robot does is shear sheep. would you conisder it intelligent?

why/why not?

No, it is not intelligent.  The people who designed it and made it ant programed are intelligent.  The oracle is just a machine.

I would not consider it intelligent.

Intelligence is the ability to learn and adapt. If that bot could learn to shuck sweet corn and peel apples, that would be a sign of intelligence.
