I'm getting my nipples pierced next week and I'm mildly worried about the pain so I looked it up on here and a lot of people recommend orajel and advil and i was thinking, doesn't advil thin your blood? That really can't be real great with a piercing, not to mention I wonder if orajel even really work...well, hope you all can help me.

Oh, and if you don't want me to get a piercing or think it's gross, great, way to go! Have your opinion but I d**n sure don't want to hear about it. Thanks

  1. i think aspirin thins your blood, not advil.  I haven't had my nipples pierced, but i think you'll be feeling more sore or tender than pain.  I would just try to soldier through the pain since it should be gone almost completely in a couple days.

make sure you keep it clean so there is no infection.

  2. Pain relievers with aspirin in it thin your blood.  I donate blood and took ibuprofen within 24 hours beforehand, but they said it's alright, since it's not aspirin.

I'm not sure about the orajel.  I don't see how it would penetrate through your skin enough to help though.
