I am due to have oral surgery extractions and bone graft. I am concerned about being under general anesthesia. Does anyone know if it is safe for people with epilepsy to go under anesthesia. I have not had a seizure in years.

  1. It should be safe, I have never heard of anesthetics causing a seizure.  It would still probably be a good idea to mention it to your dentist though.

  2. It depends on the type of anesthesia used and your medications, if any.

You do want to let your dentist confer with your doctor.

    All the best.
