Is organized crime more like the US politics or is US politics more like organized crime?

Organized crime is a way for people with not much money to coordinate and manage ways to gain more money, a lot of money actually.  They use mostly illegal means, prostitution, gambling, etc. to raise this money.

US politics controls money.  So, all they have to coordinate and manage is the community by making them believe in them and their lies to keep business thriving so their pockets become fatter and the little man's thinner.  

They are alike only in organization as a means to gain an end.  The start of organized crime happened when immigration started in eastern U.S. such as New York, etc but were not allowed to vote or hold important jobs.  So, they took what they could get, which is everything and did it their own way.
