Is our Earth self-aware?

Question

I'm going along the lines of Gestalt's principle where the whole is greater then the sum of its parts. So if our Earth is self-aware, what clues are there? Could global warming be a clue? If you disagree, why?

Nature has no cognition of itself, of the laws that govern it, or of things that do have cognition. It is not a benevolent universe nor a malevolent universe as this would require cognition and the means by which to carry out willful acts.
