I am not so concerned with tax dollars sent overseas because that is foreign aid and comes under the scrutiny of the GAO who can at least let us know if it is being way laid to private pockets.  So its not tax dollars.  But I do worry that private charities who solicit millions upon millions for overseas work are not scrutinized at all.  I think contributions made to private organizations who allege that they will do this or that overseas is very shaky.  Not tax dollars so much.
