  1. Probably depends on your neighborhood. Sometimes cats can get sick from lawn chemicals or spilled antifreeze, get bullied by other people's cats and dogs, and run out into the busy streets and get struck by a car. Cats are usually happier if they can wander around and search their environment, watch birds and other animals, eat some clean grass, sharpen their claws on a tree, and relax. I've noticed most cats who are kept indoors all the time become fat from lack of exercise.

  2. it should be, where i live all cats are outdoors. unfortunatly my neighbour has taken to kicking my cats so outdoors not so good now...but would feel very cruel keeping them in; remember cats are independant by nature and do not wish to be owned; therefore trying to lock them inside is going agaist their natural needs & instincts.

  3. it is if they sleep out their at night and if their out their all day

  4. Of course out-doors isn't bad for your cat, if any thing, being cooped up inside is bad for it. Cats need to be out-side to thrive. and as for kiling birds, well you can't stop them from doing that, it is in there nature. That would be like telling a chicken not to lay eggs. Let your cat out-side right now!

  5. Cats generally LOVE to be outside. There is nothing wrong with letting your cat go outside as long as you're a responsible pet owner. Please make sure your cat is fixed. The last thing anyone needs is for your cat to go around making babies or getting pregnant. And you also need to be thoughtful of your neighbors. I have a neighbor that lets her cats run wild in the neighborhood and I hate them!!! All her cats do is pee on everyones cars/tires, p**p on everyones porches, sleep on( or sometimes in) everyones cars and antagonize their dogs. She's not a very responsible pet owner.

  6. Yes, the outdoors is bad for your cat. How about keeping your cat safely indoors? It'll be much healthier for your cat to be indoors where it's safe from poisons, loose dogs, other cats, cars, malicious people... and so on (the list of dangers is quite long). Indoor cats live much longer, healthier lives than outdoor or indoor/outdoor cats and it's very possible to have a happy, well entertained indoor cat. You wouldn't let your dog roam, so why your cat? I always see the argument that it's "natural". Cats have been domesticated for a long time now... there's really nothing natural about it. 7. it is totally fine for your cat to be outdoors but not for too long..

    also take into consideration:

    -native animals

    -neighbours

    -other pets in the neighbourhood

    :)

  8. outdoors is fine for your cat as long as ur cat isnt killing native birds, in that case the cat should be inside.
