  1. well it also could be your water pump is starting to get weak with it. and no it is not a common problem with cars. i would say it could be your water pump is getting weak...or else you could be low on antifreeze. the water pump could be about 200 dollars and depends on how difficult it is to replace the water pump for labor. and the antifreeze is cheaper.

  2. check your oil filler cap.if its white and frothy its more than likely youre head gasget has gone.sorry but its not a cheap fix

  3. It's a shockingly common problem on newish cars, but Fiats in particular have an appaling reliability record. It's usually caused by a head gasket failure, leading to a loss of coolant, resulting in the cylinder head warping.

Average repair costs would be around £300 - £400.

  4. There are several possible reasons why the car is overheating ranging from simple and cheap to fix to expensive and complex.

Check the obvious things, check the filler cap on the top tank. Make sure that the rubber seal on the bottom of the cap is not split or damaged.

Check the thermostat as some times they stick.

Check the coolant level and check to make sure there is no air locks.

Last but not least, open the oil filler cap on the engine and check to see if there is any white sludge under the cap. If there is then unfortunately your head gasket has gone.

    Ja.

  5. OVERHEATING

mmmmmm   how old the car   as could be the thermosat

easy way to tell if not all the pipes get hot   20 min fix

top off remove gasket   change or leave out thermosat  gasket sealent top on   check water try it all pipes shuld be hot   no more overheating

or have you checked the water ???

  6. Could be a scaled up radiator or pulley belt needs adjustment. Water pump worn. (Look for water dripping from the vent hole on the pump). Faulty Engine thermostat etc.

  7. It shouldn't be a common problem on any make or model car but it does happen.

The price of the repair depends on WHY it overheated in the first place and if the overheating caused any subsequent damage.  The fix may be something as simple as a ruptured radiator hose or a broken radiator cap.  It could be much more involved like a faulty waterpump or a cracked cylinder head.
