Is overpopulation a myth?

Isn't it overhyped? It's a scare put into the minds of people to have small families.

Eventually God has plans for everything. Good will find ways. With the help of advanced science and technology we will find ways to accommodate more and more people on the earth.

  1. I apologize to the world that someone let you out of your cage and you are now plaguing it with your stupidity.

  2. Wow, if there is a god with a plan, then it is is to reduce global population. Why? I'll explain.

The human carrying capacity of this planet is thought by experts to be between 2-4 billion people. In the last 100 years we have exceeded this capacity largely via the use of fossil fuels (e.g. oil). Unfortunatly oil is a finite resource. After a time of wild growth a PEAK production is reached, and then production (amount pumped from ground) declines. Which means there is less oil. USA reach its lower 48 peak in 1970.

Current global oil production data suggests that OVERALL peak oil production peaked in 2005. We are now on a DECLINE.

Food production is overly dependent on oil and natural gas (peaks in about a decade). Therefore the civilization we know now with its population WILL NOT LAST!

Do your own research. Read facts not opinions. Here are a couple of sources.

  3. Call on God, but row away from the rocks.

  4. God might also plan to downsize this earth through a massive flood as well.

No, overpopulation is not a myth. Do you really think God is as much of a micromanager to deal with this for us? We've been given free reign over the earth, why would he change it now?

I assume you mean the Christian/Jewish God, right?

  5. I really don't think it's a Myth. I don't think that we are over populated yet. The problem, as I see it,. is that sometimes science fails and technology breaks down. When that happens things tend to correct themselves in rather Nasty ways (war, starvation, famine and disease).

I don't think that THE END is at hand, but I think people should really think about what they want and what they really need.

  6. Your right, but there is such thing as over populating.

A lot of people believe that god will always provide for us but we have to take a stand for our selfs.

    a great example.

a man was stranded on the middle of the ocean and a boat comes by and they ask the man if he needed help.

the man replys no thank you god will save me.

another ship comes by and ask the man if he needed rescuing.

the man says no thank you god will save me.

and what happend again a ship ask the man if he needed help

    hes response once again,

no thank you god will save me.

    he ends up dying.

then he later ask god why didnt you save me.

god response i sent 3 ships.

now god gave us this earth we should take care of it,

    therefore not abuse it.

    =]

  7. One day this earth will be no more so I doubt we'll even get that far. Plus with the many wars famine and natural disaters that will increase as time goes on the population will lessen however there are more people on the earth now than have ever existed in all of time. we are reaching the 7 billion mark before long
