Is ozzy osbourne part of black sabbath?

some of my friends said he was he told me after i heard ironman but 1 of my friends said it was a diffrent ozzy i said whatever so which is it?

  4. I would say that this is one of the stupidest questions ever, but I guess you are young and don't know any better. Yes he was/is the lead singer... sometimes performs with them, other times he has a solo career with a band.

    To help you other posters...

    he was with sabbath until 79 when he got kicked out for drugs and such... had a very successful solo career ...

    He reunited with sabbath in 2004 at Ozzfest and has technically played with them since while still keeping his solo act going.

  6. Yes I never really was a fan of Black Sabbath but I do know for a fact he was at one time a part of it.

  8. Ozzy was the lead singer for Sabbath until they decided that his insane drug use would bring them down so they got together and made Bill Ward (Ozzy's best friend) kick him out of the band. I don't think it hurt his career too much tho. :-)
