why does he speaks english fluently..... and also is he right handed? i heard he trained for about 2 months since he was a child to use the left hand..

Yep, he is a citizen of the Philippines.

Everyone in the Philippines is taught English and can speak it, although some with heavy accents.

Isn't it funny how the Filipino boxers can come to the US and speak our language, but some boxers have been fighting here for years or decades and can't speak a word of our language?  I do get tired of waiting for the translators in pre/ post fight interviews!

yea u get taught English in the Philippines but trust me i know all Filipinos born over there who come over here have a bad accent i have it my whole family has it

i believe you are refering to Emmanuel Pacquiao, the boxer. he has also earned the nicknames PacMan, and "The Destroyer". Well, he is not American, but a Filipino. He is able to speak english fluently, because of his education in the Philippines where English is taught to students side by side with other subjects (science, mathematics, religion,social sciences, etc.), and partly because his trainer/coach for a very long time is an American, Mr. Freddy Roach. Pacman is a south-paw, therefore left-handed. i doubt it really if he would have had any reason to train to switch from being right-handed to being left-handed early in his childhood.
