  1. The pain is helping us so many times ot understand and to calculate many things, sometimes to appreciate or to reject what worths the effort or who is able to be by our side...

But many times the pain is a bad advisor since we get out of control harming the others, and especially ourselves

  2. Often times, yes.  This is why those who do not want the painful experience of a broken shell never seem to expand their understanding.

  3. pain hurts

  4. Most experience comes from pain. Understanding comes from experience. Therefore I come to agree with your statement.

  5. Yes, but sometimes it hits so hard that it breaks the mass of life underneath.

  6. That depends on the situation and the cause of the pain. It can break open our understanding, but it can also be the catalyst which causes us to enclose our hearts in a shell of concrete or stone in order not to be hurt again.

If you have learned something positive, and are open to change, yes, it can break the shell. But if it's a traumatic pain caused by an unkind or insensitive person, the walls can go up around your heart.

  7. If it is so, I must be glutton.

    Perhaps I am a m*******t after all.

  8. probably.

  9. I honestly have been considering a similar idea. After all, doesn't suffering grant you the ability grow as a person? I think it is a form of understanding which can later lead to the breaking of shells that harbor other factors of the mind, which in turn make you emotionally develop. However, this development is not always for the best for while some shells break, more handicaps may be created like insecurity, trust and such. But all in all, I believe a person does experience some sort of growth, though this growth may result in some deformity. Personally I'd prefer the deformity and the experience than remaining oblivious. Hm, that certainly is a thoughtful question, though. It would probably take an essay to fully explore ^^

  10. You said it so well!  It is true that only through pain we can get empathetic and understanding.  We can come closer to our fellow Man having shared the same experiences, the same sorrow.   Pain, breaks the shell of selfishness or ignorance and give us the sense of Being One.

  11. Pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses and protects our Soul :D

  12. Its better to release our pain in secret so we won't suffer in a near future.

  13. The pain can break the banks of our endurance but can not be compared to a thin shell our understanding ...

Because the pain is just one component of life .. as the joy .. and understanding knows ...

    I love you

  15. one method yes but not all -the greater the suffering the speedier the advancement around it - agreed. Why suffer though -  slowly slowly catchy monkey i say!

  17. It depends on how the person takes the pain in her life. Pain might be the understanding of why and how. And might be the reason of not understanding. Pain might stop from understanding at all. But the best reason why a person matures and learn is because of pain.

  18. if you can be stronger after the pain that you had suffered, than yes!

  19. If you think anything is enclosed that is your delusion, your understanding is free as a bird in the sky, its as loose as the walls of the universe. If you think pain and suffering is the key then just slam a sledge hammer into your hand or give away all your possesions see if you reach enlightenement any faster. There are barriers yes and pain can sometimes lift those barriers but the fastest way to reach spritual understanding is to just let mind fall away. Stop stop dont think!!!
