  1. The Palm Court Malta is cheap but not all that good there used to be a great restaurant opposite the Palm Court.  The bus station is nearby so get a weekly ticket and you can travel all over the Island. Ta'ali airport The Mosta dome and Medina spring to mind. The beach is nearby Have a great time

  2. we stayed at the Reuben Court Hotel...& had our food at the Palm Court...the sister hotel nearby.  it was nice & the food was good....many elderly people there.  The delicacy of Malta is Rabbit...which i did not try!!

Malta has 365 churches ... so you should go to see Mosta Dome...the most famous one.  a bomb dropped into a crowded church during the war...& did not explode...it is now a shrine to that event...& it is stunning...take your camera!!  Mdina - the Silent City...was totally boring - but your tour operators might try to get you there...we didn't like that!

A horse & cart ride around Valetta is nice...i was happy as there are TWO Next stores there...& a Marks & Spencers!!  The Popeye Village is also good...& the Maltese speak very good english!!  sorry my answer is SO blinking long!! - lol!!

CRIKEY...i have a P.S....you haven't lived until you have met & dealt with the really grumpy, unhelpful bus drivers there.....they are SO horrible!!!

  3. Just some added information.

Day speaka a leetle bitta like dis :-)

They are great people and very very friendly. Try to get to see a festa, where they carry a statue of Mary around the village and let off fireworks. Even better are the ariel fireworks. They make their own fireworks and they are brilliant.

Go to a seaside town called Buggiba and see them play bingo:

"Twoa fatta lady - eez eighty eight" :-)

They are very religious. Respect that when you visit the beautiful churches.

One other thing - don't hire a car unless you're feeling very brave or adventurous. You'll know why as soon as you get out of the airport and see the way they drive :-)
