yup its really a gr8 place to live as it has all the facility in each sector . almost every sector has a shopping comlex and park .

it is really well planned except here u dont hav gr8 hotels all are only decent

as far as shopping for day to day needs is concerned panvel has in all

2 foodlands ,

1 shubhiksha,

1 dmart (opening this june)

1 spinach.(khanda colony)

2 more (one in khanda and other in new panvel)

and there are two huge vegetable markets in old panvel

as far as banking is concerned on matheran road u hav all the top  banks

on the roads sideways to the bridge there is a NEXT shop and a BAJAJ showroom on the other side there is a honda showroom,a cng pump.

Panvel city and a municipal council lies in Raigad district in India in state of Maharashtra. Panvel is also known as gateway of Konkan region. It adjoins Navi Mumbai, and is just after the Thane district border. Panvel is located on the Mumbai Pune Expressway about 22 k.m from Mumbai.

It is near to the Gadhi river.

As of 2007, Panvel had a population of 2,04,336

Panvel is the largest and most populated city in Raigad district. The city also happens to be the headquarters of Panvel taluka with more than 1000 villages under it. 'Proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport'

The new Navi Mumbai International Airport,which is to come up around the Panvel-Kopra area, would be built through public-private partnership (PPP) — with private sector partner getting 74% equity while Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Maharashtra government (through City and Industrial Development Corporation or CIDCO) holding 13% each.The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has already given techno-feasibility clearance to the Navi Mumbai airport and central cabinet has cleared it. The project is at Global tendering stage.[1]

If you are talking about Panvel near new Bombay, it  has some parts which are calm and quiet. The city is also near to Mumbai and having availability of all necisities. But it is not like proper Mumbai in many ways as regards city life.Conveyance /roads to munbai/Pune are quite good. It has good schools and good educated public.
