  1. I don't remember whether Paris is clean or not, I was too in love with the sights.  I do remember being splashed with slush by a bus, but that wasn't, like, litter, or anything.

I'm pretty sure it's still one of the more expensive places in Europe.

  2. I visited Paris last year and loved it, but as with most places, the cleanliness and cost of living would depend on the area. I didn't find it extremely dirty. I wouldn't know too much about the cost of living but I would assume it would be quite pricey.

  3. They have a special "patrol" that does nothing but pick up dog p**p all day.  So I'd say cleanliness is important to Parisians.

It is quite expensive, especially around the more touristy areas of the city.  All the expense is worth it, it's a beautiful city and each neighborhood, or arrondissement, has it's own character and charm.

  4. Cleanliness is about average for a large European city.

As for expensive to live, it depends on who you are and how you live. For example, if you are a student you can get subsidized meals in the many student canteens dotted round the city. Even if you are not a student but look one, some of them don't ask to see a student card. Hotels are very much cheaper than in London. But if you want to live for a while, the maids' rooms (chambre de bonne) have been phased out. They used to provide very cheap accomodation.

    And so on.

  5. I loved Paris it has some of the most amazing sights i have ever seen! i didint find it dirty i thought it was lovely!

  6. Paris is no more or less clean than most big cities in Europe or North America.

Paris is an expensive city to live in but still cheaper than London or New York. In one survey, Paris ranked as #11 in costs among major cities in North America and Western Europe. The ranking was as follows:

    1. London

    2  New York

    3  Oslo

    4  Tokyo

    5  Zurich

    6  Copenhagen

    7  Geneva

    8  Dublin

    9  Chicago

    10  Los Angeles

    11  Paris

  7. To be honest, the answers are : no, Paris is not a clean city and yes, it's expensive to live. BUT, where you are in love with someone you accept all his/her defaults. aren't you? So, I'm the last person to answer, because I'm in love with Paris.

  8. It was dirty some years ago but now it's very clean.

For french people Paris is a very expensive city, especially to live there.

    I pay 700 euros for 30m2.

My brother in Toulouse (great city by the way), one of the biggest cities in France, pay 500 euros for 60m2.

  9. There is no "p**p police" XD

Paris is quite dirty, but it's getting better every day. Nevertheless, life is really expensive, however wages are not so bad.
