  1. yes only on christmas day i am afraid when they are free

  2. Boxing Day is a normal day, you will have pay, but check the notice on the meter Some cities do class Boxing Day as a bank holiday...........Jason   W

  3. It should be free for the bank holiday.

  4. me thinks if you parked ON the meter your car probably would

get towed! since you just damage government property

no mater what day it was!

or do you mean you want to know if you can park at a Meter

on boxing day (I never say any meters box have you?)

by the way what is boxing day? the only boxing I see

    in in the boxing rings

  5. If you're in the UK then parking is free on a bank holiday such as Boxing Day

  6. Hi John

Simply, its down to the local council, most often allow you to park on council car parks for B/H for free, but as its now a revenue stream, im sad to say, its now as most are going , only free on xmas day.

So best check on the board before you leave, but have the coins ready, just in case...

    good luck, merry xmas

  7. It depends on the area. Some dont charge and others do. the best thing to do is check the individual meter and if it is free it will actually say something like 'sundays and bank holidays no charge' If it doesnt say this or anything like it its better to drop a few quid in than come back and find a £30 ticket on it or even worse clamped and removed! The individual local authority have the ultimate decision whether to charge or not. Most dont, but sods law is youll get the one that does!

  8. i"m guessing that depends on what city you park in
