  1. Maybe that depends on what YOU mean by passion. Most people are passionate about something. Christians are passionate about Jesus, atheists seem to be passionate about Richard Dawkins.

Are you referring to the feeling you have for a member of the opposite s*x. If so, no there is nothing wrong with feeling passion for another person either but there are rules of decency involved which we should, but many don't, follow.

  2. Which definition of passion?

No, passion itself is not a sin.  It may lead to sin, though...

  3. Have you looked up the literary term for the word 'passion?' - feeling very strongly about a subject or person, usually referring to feelings of intense desire and attraction.

Also, 'passion' refers to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Note: "The passion of the Christ" which was about the last days of Jesus.

I had a teacher in school who corrected us every time that we said we had a passion for something, or something was our passion.  She'd say that passion is when you are willing to die for what you are passionate about.

So, when somebody would say, "Golfing is my Passion!"

She would ask if he would die for golfing. Passion is an interesting word.

  4. No if such passions are satisfied with the woman or man you are married to.

  5. Hello,

No passion isn't a sin, and temptation isn't even a sin. Even Jesus had temptation and the Bible teaches he never sinned.

However, over-lusting in your heart can be a sin, and giving in to sinful passions can be considered a sin. But there are many passions that are perfectly normal, and actually healthy and good for you. It is great to be passionate about life, love, work, faith, etc.

    Great question!

  6. Sucks that they canceled that show.

  7. Only by the fundamentalists.  They put the "F U" in fun!

  8. Passion is required to live a proper and productive life. God is passion and if we are created in it's image then it remains that we must likewise have passion.

  9. Probably by some geek.

  10. Yes, if it has a sexual connotation, it is considered a sin.

I am passionate about many things and not all of them would be considered sinful.

  11. it depends on your passion...if it is a kind of sport, music, something useful in life...it is not a sin, but if it is lust and sexual passion...evil passion..then it is considered a sin.

  12. Yea. Whenever I state my religious beliefs and that I enjoy sharing my lust with a hot chick in a burning circle of fire I get thumbs down.

    Not very tolerant, is it?

  17. Do you mean sexual passion? That's perfectly healthy and good for both of you, assuming it's non-abusive and you're both over the age of consent and consenting.

  20. WHY do SO many people automatically think of s*x when you mentioned the word passion??

I'm passionate about a lot of things, s*x is just one on the list- and not even first on the list!  geeesh s*x is great for the body- but your mind can give you a lot of pleasure, too- and it lasts longer than the bouts of s*x do.  The body wears out a lot faster than your mind does, believe me, you young folks.

I'm passionate about reading, learning, gardening,  keeping my family strong,  achieving goals,  doing whatever I can to make my little community strong and going for the future.

There is a lot in life to be passionate about.

  21. I think all religions make people feel guilty and judged. the passion is just another way to scare people into feeling guilty about what they are passionate about. So that they have to go and get 'forgiven' for their guilt. Its how churches stay in business

  22. passion ?  ha..ha..ha..  how you connected this with a sin ?

see, passion is gift of the spirit combined with the totality of all experiences. we have lived through.  it helps us to overcome obstacles. it helps us to over come past events. A powerful litmus in determining the authenticity of the individual.  so, it is not a sin.

  23. Even God has passion. There are good passions, and bad passions. If you are passionate about helping people, then that is not a sin. If you are passionate about hurting people then it is a sin. The question isn't, do you have passions? The question is, what passions do you allow to control you?

  24. Art, music, life.
