  1. tuna is ok to eat  all the time for dog but pasta is ok just not alll the time

  2. I think your boyfriend is on the right track - with a little more research he could be doing his dog a real favor. And he obviously cares about the dog since he goes to the effort of feeding him homemade food. And of course there is nothing wrong with feeding a dog human food, you just have to make sure the dog is getting ALL his nutritional requirements. Maybe adding a supplement like "Missing Link" would round out the occasional tuna noodle meal... You can usually get that at places like PetSmart.

But, I would not recommend that tuna be eaten on a regular basis because the mercury content would be a concern. According to the FDA  at 20lbs you should have no more than 1 can of white albacore every 10 weeks and  chunk lite  every three weeks.

Try a little more variety  - chicken, turkey, or even vegetarian choices are good for dogs.

Save the tuna for the occasional treat.

  3. I was told by a vet, that most anything that is good for a human to eat is good for a dog.  So, in keeping with that advice, would it be healthy for a person to never eat anything but tuna and pasta? I imagine there is some more they need in their diet than that really.  Natural feeding of a dog is tricky business to ensure they get all they need nutrionally.
