Is paypal free?

Is paypal free? If i buy something off a website and they use paypal. Does it cost me money to use paypal?

Not sure about all websites but I use Paypal an Ebay all the time and it doesn't cost me anything,the amount I pay on Ebay is the amount that comes of my debit card.

I suppose they get their money off Ebay.

It is free to pay with but you pay a charge if you receive monies through it. For example Ebay sellers are charged a percentage rate on PayPal transactions. the buyers don't get charged.

You are charged if you withdraw money from your Paypal account into your bank account if it is less than a certain amount ( I think it is £50) transfers over that amount are free.
