Is perfection an illusion?

It is an illusion. Well more of a mirage - something that we may strive towards but never reach - in every sphere of human activity with the sole exception of mathematics.

Nobody, and nothing, will ever be perfect, I can tell you that. Everything has problems, From online games to wood crafts. (That was a stupid example)

It depends on your philosophy.

For instance in the Zen tradition if you can reach the state of no-mind then you are in complete harmony with the Tao and this is idea is similar to western concepts of perfection.

I guess that depends on your idea of what perfection is. What's perfect to you may not be perfect to me and visa versa.

Perfection is not an illusion since God is perfect and he exists. But i also believe that no human being could ever reach perfection because we all have weak spots and thats our nature.

yes. its an unacheivable illusion that the media, celelbrity world and everyday people have created and are constanly changing. people will always strive or look up to something unatainable.

Perfection is a perception, rather than an illusion.

Perfect is something that others have deemed to be in one way. Therefore, it is perceived to be perfect. If things would be changed, such as 2x2 = 6, instead of 4, then everything that is perfect now, will become imperfect.
