Is perth nice to visit?

I'm going to australia, in the near future, lol. um, everyone is going to sydney, but I was thinking of going to perth. is it nice there?

Perth is a really lovely city and very vibrant for its size. It has a modern, clean, happy and sunny feel. It's a get out and enjoy the outdoors kind of place. There is a fair bit to do there, but you do need a car. The best time to go is in spring (October), when the area is famous for its wildflowers and also carniverous plants. Rottnest Island is a must do.

You may also want to fly to Broome while you are there, I've never been there but it's supposed to be a bit of a paradise.

Perth is gorgeous. It reminds me of Santa Barbara or somewhere in that area. From there you can also take side trips--to huge sand dunes, wine country, scuba diving with whale sharks.

Dont forget Perth is 4000 Klms from Sydney so if travelling fly direct if you can otherwise you face a four to five hour flight from Sydney.Perth is a beautiful city but transport is not readily available as most places that you visit will require your own transport.It has beautiful parks and scenery but to see the best of Western Australia you need to travel and WA is the largest state in Australia.The Southern Coast has the most spectacular scenery in the World but is very cold in our Winter which runs fromJune ,July,August.Spring is the best time to visit September,October ,November.The Northern Coast has the type of Scenery typical of Australia from Stunning beaches to Dry Outback if you head inland.I come from Sydney and have travelled there many times as my family live there. The Night life in very quiet except in Perth itself . People tend to make there own amusements. Have a geat trip wherever you decide to go.

Yes perth is gorgeous! Its the most beautiful city in Australia and is big enough to offer all the city services, but still more relaxed  than many other cities. Just so you know, the climate is not very cold like that person said, it is a very mild climate and the coldest it wioll ever get in WA is about 10 degrees during the day (in the far southern coast areas)

well i read somewhere that it was 1 of the top places in the world to live behind somewher in canada and melbourne. BUT your not planning on living here, its more like a family state, very safe, clean and happy. Not so much to do here like there is in vic or nsw for travelors, but nonetheless v beautiful state.
