Is pet insurance worth it?

I have a year and and half old Rottweiler dog that I have been paying pet insurance for. Is it worth it to have insurance for a dog?

I would say yes, it is but there are also others who feel that pet insurance is something that they do not need because they have the means to pay up medical bills should anything wrong were to happen. If you have an amount set up for emergency, then you are fine and do not need pet insurance. But for the most of us, pet insurance will come as very handy when dealing with medical bills in the hundreds and thousands. The way I see it, it's paying a premium for my peace of mind and to guarantee that my pet will receive adequate care without having second thoughts when it comes to expensive treatments and medications.

yes it is, i have insurance on all of my animals. last summer when my youngest jumped off of our deck to run with others, he broke his back leg, and had to have surgery. man i am so glad we had it to because operation and vet stay didn't cost us any thing.

since you have been paying for it, once you stop you will probably end up needing it. thats just how things work
