Is photography a fun class?

Question

I'e been thinking about taking it in my sophmore year. Is it fun? What do you have to do? What kind of hw do you get? What kind of tests do you get?

I had a blast in my photography classes. The instructor gave us assignments that made us think and be creative at the same time it made us learn the basic concepts of photography. It was not a class that you could sleep through and most of our grades were based on project work though there were also tests on theory. The projects took time to do well. So if you are looking for a no effort class a good photography class is not that. But if you are looking for something fun where you also learn I would say go for it.

It can be a fun class it all depends on the tutor.I had students photographing ghosts,flash shots of balloons full of water exploding being hit by a dart,all sorts of tricks to teach the basics.My tutor however had us learning tables,depth of field of focus charts,chemical formulae,yuk!!!! They were useful in the long term but hard work at the time.

Learning the basics can be a bit of a grind, but once you know them its fun all the way.
