  1. Because lack of required standards as well as some are disqualified due to lack of motivation, creativity etc.

  2. There is a new program for flight training that is accessible to many of all ages. It is called LSA for light sport aircraft. No FAA physical is reqd, but you must have a clear driving record. You can get a license for 25 total hrs training.

  3. Some people are just not up to the job spec. Becoming a pilot is an extremely difficult and expensive career path, but it pays off in the end. You have to be 100% ddedicated to the career and you have to work very hard at school to get the grades. Without the grades you will not be chosen fore training.

  6. No -  pilot training is not difficult. Your use, however, of correct english will help you a lot.

In the air forces, the rejection rates are high. Any person not achieving the required standards within the prescribed time is automatically grounded. You have to remain ahead of the pack to be in the race.

In the civil sector, money is the prime consideration. Even if you are a little slack, extra money will pull you through.

Your question entails detailed answers, which are not possible on YA. I hope the above would suffice for the moment and that any further queries will be put forward for another time.

  7. what kind of pilot training are you looking at? if you are talking about flying in the military, it is tough to get in, and even tougher to stay in since they want the best pilots.

if you are talking about commercial pilot training, it is much easier than the military, but it is also long and expensive.

if you are talking about getting your private license, that is the easiest way to go, and the least expensive.

one thing about learning to fly though is that some people have a hard time thinking in three dimensions, and that adds time to their training. others have no problems. how easily you pick up on the things you instructor is trying to teach you, and the relationship between you and your instructor affect how long it will take you to learn to fly.
