  2. You should avoid pine and cedar as the oils in the wood can irritate the mouse and other rodents.  Aspen chips are a better option.

  3. Asia is right. Never, ever use pine.

Rodents exposed to pine have a higher risk of developing respiratory problems and dying from symptoms similar to lung cancer or pneumonia.

Ceder is by far the best natural choice. You can find synthetic stuff that looks like a lovesac popped. That stuff works as well.

  4. No, use carefresh or at least aspen.

  5. Pine and cedar can both by damaging to an animal's respiratory tract and their liver.  There are many safer beddings available.

Hardwoods like aspen are safe as are paper based products like Yesterday's News and Carefresh.  Personally, I like Carefresh because it is softer and lets the mice burrow and create comfy little beds.

  6. If you are going to get wood chips, get aspen shavings. Both pine and cedar are known to cause respiratory problems in small animals. Cedar is by far the worst, but pine is bad as well.

  7. I had mice and i used pine shavings. So i think that they are good for them! =)
