  1. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have been prescribed piriton by the hospital for an itchy rash, so yes you can take them but the pharmacy will not sell you them over the counter something to do with responsibillity so go see your midwife or doctor and fingers crossed they will help you out with this! good luck!

  2. I was given piriton during the last stages of my pregnancy & when I was admitted due to having a liver condition that caused me to severly itch. Not sure if its the same product but it was definately called Piriton, I remember having cold baths at 3am, applying calamine lotion all over & then a nurse popping her head round the door "heres your Piriton", I did take a lot of it but to be safe you should phone a pharmacist, if they can't help you then see your doctor or phone your community midwifes office who could put you through to someone on the maternity ward.

Good luck with baby by the way.

  3. i don't see why not but just check with ya doctor or read the back of the packet

  4. Nope, 'fraid not.

  5. Go to the Docs as on the instructions it says no.

  6. Phone your local chemist and they will tell you.

Good luck with the baby x*x

  7. I was prescribed it by my GP for really bad Rhinitis earlier in my pregnancy.

  8. No - you are generally advised against it.  Usually the only thing you should take is Beconase nasal spray.  That said, if the pharmacist says it's ok, it is probably because you are so far along.  I think the problem is usually in earlier pregnancy.
