Is plain carbonated water/sparkling water like Perrier just as good for you as regular plain water

  1. Even though most of the labels say "0" calories, some even say "0" sugar, I would still think that plain regular, uncarbonated, tap water is still the best.

    Some of the carbonated waters taste fairly decent, however, the ones I've tried, aren't nearly as refreshing tasting, and hydrating, as regular water.  I've even found myself even more thirsty after drinking the flavored carbonated water.  I like to believe it's nothing but a soda disguised as water.

No. Carbonated water is used with water that is of lower quality, because it is classified as "soda, (pop)" and the companies that make sodas do not have to use water of the same quality as bottled water companies (or town water departments) do. Additionally, carbonated water contains phosphorus, which can inhibit the body's absorption of calcium.
